The NashStore project is a Russian online store for applications for Android devices, developed as a sanction-resistant alternative to Google Play. Launched in May 2022, NashStore was a response to the removal of Russian company applications from Google Play and restrictions on purchases in Google Play for Russian users starting from March 2022.
In March 2022, the creation of NashStore was announced, allowing citizens of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union to download, install, update applications, and pay for subscriptions without restrictions, including using Mir cards. In April 2022, it was proposed to include NashStore in the list of pre-installed programs on Russian smartphones.
NashStore was launched for developers on May 9, 2022, and became available to users on May 16. The store quickly gained popularity. By December 2022, it was announced that NashStore would be pre-installed on AYYA secure smartphones.
Statistical data indicate a successful start for NashStore: over 600 thousand users registered in the first week, with 1.3 million applications downloaded. Within a month, NashStore had 2 thousand applications and over 1 million users who had downloaded more than 3.5 million applications. By August 2022, the number of applications increased to 3 thousand, and users to 1.5 million, with a total of 6.7 million downloads. As of November 2022, the store had registered 2 million users, with over 3.6 thousand applications available, and a total of 10.5 million downloads.
